Linux, especially Slackware, can be hard to get used to. These have been the best places I've obtained Slackware support from:

IRC on Freenode: Hop onto irc.freenode.net, channel ##slackware, where someone is sure to fix you up. Browse around the freenode channel list, and you will also find more specific channels, for applications such as Pidgin, KDE, XFCE, etc, for more specialised help. No IRC client? LinuxQuestions.org: The LQ Slackware forum is the officially recognised support forum for Slackware Linux.

Remember: You are more likely to get help from others if it looks like you have actually made some attempt to sort the problems yourself. Check the manual pages using the 'man' command, and check my links to see if any of the documentation around the internet can help you.
